How the Millis Community Can Help

There are many ways to get involved in MERIT, and support our schools. We welcome and encourage participation from parents, faculty, and other community members. Here are some ways you can help make a difference.

• Make a financial contribution. You can make a secure on-line donation here on our site or mail in your donation.
• Suggest a fundraising idea. Most of the money MERIT grants to the Millis Public Schools is raised through events like the Haunted Hayride, shopping nights and bunco. We are always looking for engaging, fun event ideas. Contact us with your idea!
• Attend our meetings. Our meetings are held on the second Tuesday of every month, at 6:30 PM at the Millis Public Library in the Roche Bros room.
• Attend our Events. Join us for our fundraising events held once a month throughout the year. Invite friends to join you. Our events give you a chance to try a new activity, socialize with friends and raise money for our children and schools. View our upcoming events!
• Volunteer at our events: We always need energetic, willing hands to help at our events.  There are three big opportunities that you can get involved in:
  • Haunted Hayride volunteers.  Help out with organizing lines or direct cars, selling tickets and/or snacks, or help with advertising or media.
  • Haunted Hayride Stations.  Have a great idea for a scare station along the hayride route! Of course you do.  Let us help you get it started!
  • School fundraisers. Help us spread the word to students and parents about MERIT and what we can do to help!

• Submit a grant application:  Do you have a curriculum-enhancing idea? Apply for a grant to get your idea started! Complete a grant application.
